How Looks AI collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Introduction
Looks Inc. (“Looks AI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a fit and review platform consisting of a Shopify storefront widget for merchants and shoppers, a companion iOS app, and a merchant dashboard (together, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Services, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights available to you.
1.1 Scope
This policy applies to:
- Shoppers who create an account, build a profile, or interact with the Looks AI widget on a merchant's Shopify storefront
- Users of the Looks AI iOS app, including account holders who create looks, follow other users, or engage with the community feed
- Merchants and their staff who access the Looks AI merchant dashboard
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information in connection with the Services:

3. Cookies & Similar Technologies
The Shopify storefront widget uses browser local storage and a first-party authentication cookie to keep you signed in across visits. Both store only a session token and basic profile details, expire automatically after 30 days, and are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To operate the Services, including account creation, sign-in, profile setup, and the fit-filtering and look-creation experience.
- To display the content you choose to share (looks, reviews, comments) to other shoppers and app users.
- To communicate with you, including review-request emails and service-related notices.
- To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the Services, including logging and monitoring of systems that handle customer data.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4.1 AI & Machine Learning
We do not use your personal information, order data, or content to train, develop, fine-tune, or improve any artificial intelligence or machine learning model, whether ours or a third party's. Where the Services use AI — for example, to power visual product-image search — the relevant image is sent to a third-party AI provider solely to generate a real-time result for your request.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
- With the Shopify merchant whose store you are shopping on, to the extent needed to fulfill reviews, orders, and fit recommendations
- With service providers who host and secure our infrastructure (Amazon Web Services), support sign-in (Google), and power visual image search (Google's Gemini API), under contractual confidentiality and security obligations
- With other users of the Services, limited to content you choose to make visible (e.g., a look, review, or comment you post)
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Looks AI, our merchants, or our users
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above. Retention periods by data category are:

Backups are retained on a rolling 35-day basis for disaster recovery. Data subject to a legal hold, dispute, or regulatory inquiry is retained beyond these periods until the hold is lifted, and aggregate or de-identified data may also be retained longer.
7. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Shopify merchants and shoppers can also exercise these rights through Shopify's standard data-request process, which we support directly:

8. How We Protect Your Information
We maintain technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we handle, including:
- Encrypted, isolated database infrastructure for staging and production environments
- Audit logging of database activity and administrative actions
- Structured logging and monitoring of systems that process customer data, under a defined retention policy
- Internal policies governing staff password and access management, and a documented security incident response process
9. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this document, and, where required, communicated to merchants and users directly.
